Obsession

I remember the mountain laurel growing near where I lived when I was about six and being obsessed with the geometry of its flowers… I found a few on a recent walk around the gardens of Cambridge and other flowers too, to sate my obsession…

Moths named Fabio

He must be Italian don’t you see the lovely Florentine patterned wings?

Wallpaper/wallflowers

A friend is painting her house. This is what the wall looked like when the wall paper had been removed. Layers of life still underneath. Beautiful. When I shared this image with my mother she told me about the photographer Francesca Woodman who uses this kind of texture in her images. The Guggenheim is currently showing her work…http://www.guggenheim.org/new-york/exhibitions/past/exhibit/4432 Note to file: time to make a trip to NYC.

Weekend Beauty

I had the distinct privilege to visit a place resplendent with follies this weekend. A little drop down the rabbit hole kind of beauty. The follies are the work of Chris Frost. More of his work here: http://www.christopherfrost.org
