A friend is painting her house. This is what the wall looked like when the wall paper had been removed. Layers of life still underneath. Beautiful. When I shared this image with my mother she told me about the photographer Francesca Woodman who uses this kind of texture in her images. The Guggenheim is currently showing her work… Note to file: time to make a trip to NYC.
